Middle/Elementary Guidance & Counseling

Mr Craig Rogney - 715-422-0967 - SV Office

Mr. Rogney received his Masters Degree in Counselor Education (school counseling emphasis) at the University of Wisconsin-Oshkosh. Prior to his employment at Assumption Catholic Schools, Mr. Rogney taught Spanish for over twelve years.

 

Some counseling responsibilities are:

• Serving as liaison between home and school
• Counseling students with social issues
• Counseling students with issues such as stress, anxiety, and depression
• Counseling students with life changes
• Counseling students in peer groups
• Collaborating with teachers and administrators over students’ different learning styles
• Assisting the principal in resolving student issues
• Referring students to professional therapists when necessary
• Referring students to Social Services as needed

 

Mr. Rogney can be reached Thursdays and Fridays at St. Vincent de Paul School (422-0967), on Mondays and Tuesdays at Assumption Middle School (422-0950), and on Wednesdays and Fridays at Our Lady Queen of Heaven School (422-0980).

Mission Statement

The mission of the Assumption Catholic Schools’ Counseling Program is to provide a comprehensive, developmental counseling program addressing the academic, career and personal/social development of all students. In partnership with other educators, parents or guardians and the community, school counselors facilitate the support system to ensure all students in Assumption Catholic Schools have access to and are prepared with the knowledge and skills to contribute at the highest level as productive members of society.

  • Tell your teacher that you would like to meet with him.

  • Leave a note in his mailbox that you would like to meet with him. 

  • You might also see him if an important adult (teacher, parent, or other) thinks that it would be a good idea!
