Volunteer Today!

Education at Assumption Catholic Schools is not limited to the classroom where students learn the Catholic faith. ACS students and their families are also called to answer the Gospel message by living it as disciples of Christ.

There are a number of volunteer opportunities around the Wisconsin Rapids area. We encourage student and parents to select a service that match their interests and challenge them to grow as individuals.

Welcome from the President

Welcome to the Assumption Catholic Schools web site. I think that you will find this site to be a useful and informative resource. Whether you are looking for a school for your child for the very first time or considering a new school, choosing the right place for your child’s education is one of the most important decisions you will make as a parent. While nothing tells the story of an Assumption Catholic Schools experience as well as a personal visit, looking through this web site will give you a sense of the exciting opportunities available to your student.

Assumption Catholic Schools seeks to inspire excellence and personal growth for our students academically, spiritually, and socially. Caring and innovative teachers provide challenging academic programs supported by current technology. Student learning is enhanced through our fine arts programs, athletics, service projects, and campus ministry .In ACS, parents are welcomed and encouraged to be fully involved in the educational experience of their children.

Assumption Catholic Schools

History of the school

When the parishes of Wisconsin Rapids first proposed establishing Assumption Catholic Schools in 1951, they had faith that the school would attract teachers who would give shape to a dynamic school community. They had faith that many area families would recognize the far-reaching potential of a Christian education in excellence. They had faith that the school would prove successful enough to sustain itself—and its students—for generations to come. Assumption Catholic Schools is the result of that faith.

ACS Education Commission

The Education Commission is established by the Dean as a consultative body to assist the Dean and President in the operation and governance of Assumption Catholic Schools.

The school system serves as a joint ministry of the 9 Catholic supporting parishes of the Wisconsin Rapids Deanery.  Each of these parishes is represented on the Commission by its pastor and an appointed lay person. In addition, other organizations responsible for the spiritual or financial operation of the schools also appoint representatives. These organizations include the Assumption Foundation, Inc., Assumption Athletic Association, Assumption Music Association, Assumption Royal Parents and Faculty/Staff representatives.  If you are interested in serving on the Commission or would like to nominate another person, please contact your pastor or the leader of one of our member organizations.

The ACS Difference

Through excellence in education, ACS develops the potential of each student by fostering intellectual curiosity, principled character, ethical leadership, and a responsibility to serve.

Assumption Catholic Schools is committed to providing a vital extension of family life in an authentic and inclusive Christian community. It is our mission to inspire excellence and personal growth grounded in Catholic principles and tradition.
